| The
GoldMine to Microsoft CRM Convertor application imports
GoldMine data to Microsoft CRM via the Data Migrator.
This program imports dBase or SQL GoldMine data to SQL
Common Data Format (CDF). The Data Migrator product,
which is developed by Microsoft, imports the CDF data
to Microsoft CRM. |

| FAQ on Imports |

Company: A GoldMine Company will create
a Microsoft CRM Account: Each unique company name in GoldMine
database will create a Microsoft CRM Account. If two records
have exactly the same company name, then only one account
will be created and both contacts will be linked to this account
(See Contact below). It is the user’s responsibility
to create any additional fields in Microsoft CRM to hold the
GoldMine data. |

Contact: Each GoldMine contact with a
non-blank Company field will create a Microsoft CRM Contact
linked to an Account based on the Company name. Contacts with
blank Company fields will create unlinked Microsoft CRM contacts.
The Creation date will be the date of the import. The user
will be any active Microsoft CRM user designated by the administrator
doing the import. It is the user’s responsibility to
create any additional fields in Microsoft CRM to hold the
GoldMine data. |

Email Address: The primary email address
(located in the GoldMine upper quadrant) will be imported
with the contact. Additional e-mail addresses will not be
imported. |

Contact2 Information: GoldMine’s
Contact2 fields is to be created in Microsoft CRM via the
deployment manager and the field names should be entered in
the excel sheets for import. It is the user’s responsibility
to create any additional fields in Microsoft CRM to hold the
GoldMine data. |

Calendar data: The user name is changed
from the GoldMine user name to the Microsoft CRM user name.
GoldMine Appointments are mapped to Microsoft CRM Appointments.
Forecasted Sales are mapped to Opportunities. E-mails are
created as e-mails. Other GoldMine transactions are mapped
to Microsoft CRM Activities. |

| Requirements and Compatibility |

The program works on the Microsoft CRM
application and should be accessible to the user. The machine
on which GoldMine to Microsoft CRM Convertor is installed
should have Dot Net framework, GoldMine data and Data Migrator
installed. The program works on Win2000 Advanced server where
Microsoft CRM is located. |
